Product Summary

The Stirling 4ft. x 8ft. kit trailer is a customizable single-axle trailer that will fit your hauling needs. The Galvalume construction offers a scratch and corrosion-resistant finish that is long-lasting and maintenance-free. E-Z lube hubs allow for ease of maintenance and added bearing protection. The V-tongue adds increased support and stability when traveling. The kit comes complete with all the wiring and lighting required for the trailer, a 1-7/8” coupler, safety chains with rated S-hooks and safety latch, eight stake pockets and licensing documentation needed to register the trailer. Conveniently shipped in 3 boxes the trailer can be easily assembled using basic tools. Once complete, the trailer can be customized to suit your requirements as a flatbed or closed box trailer (material not included), customization plans are included with the assembly instructions. The Stirling 4’ x 8’ kit trailer meets all DOT requirements and is ready for the road as soon as you are!

  1. In this Kit setup does the decking rest on the screw heads of the frame and not the frame itself, or are the screws long enough to accommodate  3/4" decking through the assembly holes on the pre-drilled frame?

    1. You would use the 3/8" x 1/2" full thread hex bolts to secure the plywood to the frame.  Not resting the plywood on any screws. There will be diagrams for plywood drilling templates in the product manual. You can use 3/4" plywood on the trailer.

  2. Can you put larger wheels and tires on it for highway use?

    1. Larger wheels and tires could not be put on the trailer. It has maximum speed rating of 62 MPH for safe driving.

  3. I’m looking for a light trailer I can pull with my Toyota RAV4. I want to put 3 kayaks on it or 3 paddle boards. Can I attach my kayak racks to the frame? (I’d like to reuse the kayak racks I have on top of my RAV4).

    1. As long as the kayak racks will fit on the trailer and do not exceed the trailer capacity, you would be able to attach the kayak racks to the trailer.
