    1. This chainsaw has a 1/4" Picco Micro 3 (PM3) saw chain, .043 gauge and has 64 drive links. See item #63919, model 3670 005 0064.

  6. tell me about motor maintenance on the msa70 saw.

    1. Never store the battery in the chainsaw. Store the battery with 40-60% charge. Store the chainsaw indoors in a dry secure place. You must properly maintain the chainsaw every 3-12 months depending on usage. Bar and chain oil is needed for use. Check that the battery contacts are clean from corrosion and foreign materials. Clean with a dry cloth or soft dry brush. Clean the chainsaw polymer components with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. Do not spray the chainsaw with water or other liquids.

    1. The STIHL MSA 70 is meant to use a 12-inch bar. Using a different length may affect performance. It is recommended to use the 12-inch bar provided to avoid damage to the saw that might affect the warranty.
