  1. Is a replacement mounting bracket available? I have some that are bent from use and i would like to replace them.

    1. The metal bracket at the end of the motor is not available as a replacement part at this time.

  2. Can this pump operate off of a vehicle power inverter?

    1. The pump would be able to work off a vehicle power inverter with a minimum of 1200 watts.

  3. Can I run a rheostat on this pump to slow down the flow rate?

    1. A rheostat could not be used in this kit. The motor is not a brushless motor on this tote and go pumping kit and dropping the voltage to it will cause it to burn out. If you would need to slow down the flow rate of the pump, you can use a ball valve at the discharge of the pump to regulate the flow rate.

  4. Can the suction tube be converted to a hose to accommodate odd configurations such as inside a pole mount power transformer?

    1. The suction tube could be replaced with a hose. The maximum length you could use would be 10-12 feet. The hose could not be too soft, if it is too soft the suction of the pump could collapse the hose.

    1. The pump would not be recommended to be used for potable water or food grade liquids.

  8. Is this an on demand pump? What happens when you shut off the nozzle?

    I want to use this pump to supply oil from a tank to small pails. We will constantly be using a valve to slow down the flow and turn off to not overflow the tanks. It's heavy viscosity oil, but we do not need high flow rates.

    1. This pump would be considered an on demand pump because when you pull the nozzle trigger it flows and when you release the trigger the flow stops.

  9. Will this pump out water, friction reducer (A soap), corrosives, acids, poisons, flammables and thick chemicals that work as a glue when mixed?

    1. The Sotera Systems Tote & Go Pumping Kit is capable of handling chemicals. It can not be used on very strong acids or any fluid with a flash point below 100 degrees. This unit is capable of working with any material that is capable of being poured.
