  1. Will this fit the Hudson never pump back pack sprayer?

    1. Yes, that's exactly what I used it on. Works great.

    2. See no reason why it can't be fitted to exsisting hose. May need ? a generic hose size convertion from your local hardware store. and or a small hose clamp at a cost of aprox $2.00

    3. This Solo wand has a 3/8 inch hose barb connection for the hose. To use this on the Hudson sprayer you would use a hose clamp onto the hose barb fitting.

  2. Use with herbicide chemicals?

    1. I have used mine with Roundup weed and grass killer.

    2. I have used these units with round up and weed b gone (24d) without any problems. I would suggest you be sure to clean the tank and wand after each use.

    3. The Solo 28in. Universal Wand Assembly will be safe with most herbicides, pesticides, mild solutions/cleaners, and diluted bleach. The wand would NOT be recommended for solvents, citrus-based solutions, acids or anything that would be corrosive to metal.

  3. Will this work with the Northstar Tow-Behind Broadcast & Spot Sprayer #282780? The manual lists the spray gun as Part #779769.

    2. The Northstar sprayer you're referring to comes with a 3/8" hose and this Solo wand has a 3/8" hose barb. It is a perfect fit for this Northstar sprayer.

  5. What pressure is the valve rated for?

    My pump will deliver herbicide at 60-65 psi. Will the valve hold this without leaking when the trigger is released?

    (A wand I salvaged from a pump-up sprayer leaked like a seive!)

    1. This wand does not leak on my sprayer and it puts up 60-65 PSI.

  7. Will this spray wand do a broadcast pattern?

    I use a 16 gal tank on my ATV and need a broadcast spray wand. Will this wand do a broadcast spray?

    1. I use mine on a electric pump sprayer 14 gal home use size. When under normal spray pressure the nozzle is around 12 to 15 inchs wide. Has a positive edge on the spray pattern so can target it well so as to not spray the wifes flowers unwanted spray.

    2. This Solo 28in. Universal Wand has multiple spray patterns, from stream to mist, including fan spray. It was not designed as a broadcast wand. Northern Tool does offer broadcast wands through North Star. 1-800-270-0810.

    1. It worked perfectly well with my very similar sprayer, Northern Tool model# 268110. I believe the tank is actually the same as your model. It even fits nicely in the mounts provided. It slips on up to the 3/8" barbed fitting.

  9. Will this work with small Ironton pressure washer?

    1. This will not work for a pressure washer. It is designed for a sprayer and rated for a maximum of 90 PSI.

    1. This spray wand would not attach to garden hose threads. It can be used with a sprayer that has 3/8in. or 1/4in. hose.
