The fan is controlled by the fan control knob. Cloudy, low sunlight, or rain conditions may not produce enough Photovoltaic Panel energy on the front of the heater to operate the fan, even though there may be enough solar energy for the heater to add 3-4 degrees to the room temperature. Use the AC adapter to operate the fan from household power. (a timer can schedule the fan for day use only). The cost is minimal.
