  1. Are the loops big enough to thread the strap back thru itself to alleviate the need for a clevis?

    4. Yes. But it is best to use a clevis. Threading the strap back thru itself may reduce the breaking strengh of the strap and cause damge to the strap if it ends up rubbing on an edge.
