  1. Can I use these to increase carring weight capacity of my current trailer?

    1. Not really. You can upgrade springs as PART of an upgrade, but the entire trailer has to be robust enough for a weight upgrade, including the coupler, the hitch, the tire weight ratings, axle rating, tongue, etc. Plus, if the registration shows GVWR and Net weight, you can get a citation for it being over-weight, even if you feel it is upgraded. At that point, I think you would have to register it as homemade, since it no longer meets the manufacturer's spec's.

    2. If the springs on your trailer are the weakest part of your trailer, then they could increase your weight capacity. You would need to be sure the axle, the coupler and the tires are rated for a higher weight capacity as well in order for this to work.

  2. what hardware do you use on the back of the slipper spring

    1. You will use a U-Bolt kit to mount the slipper spring to the axle. The tie plate in the U-Bolt kit will go on the back of the slipper spring and U-Bolts mount on top of the axle on each side of the spring. You would get the U-Bolts to match the diameter of your axle.

    what is the measurement from ctr bolt hole to ctr of 9/16 bolt

    1. The measurement from the center of the eye to the center of the bolt is 11 inches.

  6. What are the measurements of this thing

    Length of 24 1/4" from where to where? How thick is the total of the leaves? What's the height from the bottom to the center of the hole?

    1. The length is measured from the center of the eye to the end of the leaf. The leaf thickness is 1 1/16". The height measures 4", from the axle to the top of the eye.
