It should, if you use enough of it in the tire to let it coat the entire inside surface, including the rim/bead area. It does need an active leak, with air flowing, to get into the gap and plug it up.

It would not seal the bead of the tire to the rim. It is for sealing punctures in the tire.

How is slime applied?

First, put the valve core at the top of the tire and slowly remove it using the tool in the cap. Let all the air out, then remove the object if you can. Attach the hose and squeeze the Slime into the tire, then put the valve core back in and inflate the tire. Finally, drive a short distance, stop to make sure the seal is working, and check the tire pressure.
