Product Summary

The ShoulderDolly® lifting system helps make the load (up to 800 lbs.) feel lighter. The system uses webbed harnesses to let you and a partner lift with the larger shoulder and leg muscles, greatly reducing back, hand and arm strain when moving appliances, dressers, cabinets, big-screen TVs and other bulky items. The ShoulderDolly has an adjustable tension buckle in front of each user. Includes 2 harnesses and one 12ft.L x 5in.W webbing.

  1. Is this suitable to move a 471 lb standby generator ?

    1. Yes, we lift large appliances with them daily. On occasion we have lifted heavier objects than that

    3. Yes, I believe it is. The strap on this puppy is very sturdy and wide. The harness is made from the same strong material s the strap and the connection between the two is a strong steel unit.

    4. I would lift a 500 lb object with it any time. Technique very is important however with heavier objects

  2. Is the harness itself adjustable or one size fits all

    I have seen several variants of this system. I purchased one that the harness is not adjustable and doesn't fit my 6 ft 230Lb torso the best. It leaves the bottom of the harness 2-3"above the belt. This is too high to be comfortable. Some harnesses are adjustable and have more padding at the shoulders, others do not.

    1. No it is not adjustable, but, I am 6'6" 255 and my son is 6'2" 180 and it fits us well. It is not adjustable though.

    2. The harness itself is one size fits all but it has an adjustable length center strap to carry different size objects

  3. Obviously two people are required to move something, so does one package contain shoulder straps for two people? Or do you have to buy two, one for each carrier?
