  1. Removal of parts & separation of media

    Does the tumbler have a door to drain/remove the media & parts?

    1. It has a drain for the water and waste. Unlatch the lid lift it up and catch the parts as they roll by. The media would have to be scooped out.

    2. There is a liquid drain, but the media would have to be taken out the top.

    3. This Shop Tuff vibratory deburring and finishing tumbler has a tub cover and latch. After completion of the preset time you would unlatch and open cover to remove parts and open drain valve to drain tub if water was used.

  2. Is this tumbler capable of cleaning and polishing ammunition brass; ie, cartridges?

    In wet cleaning, the usual procedure is fine stainless steel pins (short bits of, I guess, wire) and cartridge hulls are tumbled in water, detergent and a proprietary ingredient. This concoction is then, after about 1 hour and 30 min, drained off and the hulls are dried.

    1. With the correct media you can polish brass hulls or aluminum. The media comes in all sizes and shapes you would really need to consult with a supplier to get the best results

  3. WILL THIS WORK ON LIGHT RUST CHROME HAND TOOLS

    1. With the correct media light rust is no problem and you can use a anti-rust solution in your water also.
      When it comes to chrome you have to remember you are removing material as you process parts, if you want to remove the chrome I guess with the correct media it could be done.

    1. This Shop Tuff vibratory deburring and finishing tumbler can use ceramic, synthetic, plastic, or glass bead media. Walnut shell media would not be recommended.

    1. The manufacturer does not recommend using stainless steel shot with this model. The manufacturer instead recommends the use of ceramic media.
