    1. Thank you for reaching out. The dust collector has not been tested based on hours of operation. It should run for the entire duration of any woodworking activity that generates dust. As long as the machine is not overly full and the filter isn't clogged, it is recommended to keep the machine running and turn it off a few minutes after the last tool is switched off to handle any remaining dust.

  2. What gauge metal duct would you recommend for an appropriate 15’ main run with drop offs?

When considering the W1869 Dust Collector, the specific gauge of the ducting isn't the primary concern; rather, it should be rigid enough for suspension and/or mounting.
