Thank you for your inquiry. The M1036 Milling Machine has a power rating of only 1/4 HP and is constructed as a lightweight machine. As a result, when it comes to cutting steel, even with the finest cutters, its capacity is limited. It's best suited for very light-duty tasks, particularly for working with soft metals.

What is pitch of feed screws, metric or imperial? What is actual pitch of feed screws?

The PXM1036099-26 cross leadscrew is a 1/4 -20 left-hand thread.

can you lock the spindal, does it take collets or just a drill chuck?

The spindle would not lock. It would take collets. The part number for the collets is M1037. Northern Tool does not carry them.

The drill chuck comes with this Shop Fox Micro mill. The drill chuck will only accept bits with a maximum of 1⁄4" shank.

Can it cut a round arbor saw blade to diamond shape?
I have old Skilsaws that take 10" and 12" blades. Will this mill allow me to cut round arbor table saw blades to diamond shape?

From the back column to the center of the chuck is 6-1/2", so this will work with a 10" or 12" item. You would need to make sure you have the rights bits to work with the material of the blades as well.
