  2. Can this lathe be fastened to a work bench? Has there been any overheating problems with it?

    1. It is designed to be mounted to a work bench. Some work benches may require additional reinforcement to support the weight of the machine and work piece materials. The minimum workspace requirements are 36" L x 11.5" H. Do not press the workpiece to firmly with the tailstock or the bearings will bind and overheat.

  3. What size screw are used for the safety cap above the speed adjustment motor? I misplaced them and cannot locate. There is a total of three in a triangle pattern.

The Shop Fox lathe is white, manufactured by Shop Fox, and includes a two-year warranty. In contrast, the Grizzly lathe has a one-year warranty.
