  1. When should extensions rods be used in conjunction with a mobile base and when are they not necessary when using a mobile base. The product description is not clear. (It says they MAY be necessary.)

    1. Thank you for your inquiry. The D2246A Mobile Base has four corners with rectangular receiver tubes for the bars that connect them using bolts. It can adjust to fit a range of footprints, from 20" x 20" up to 29-1/2" x 29-1/2". If your equipment falls within that range, it should work fine. For machines with a wide and narrow frame, such as a jointer base, you can use the D2246A, which adjusts in one direction to a range of 26" to 44" wide.

  2. Can I run this at 110 V plugged into a 20 Amp GFCI outlet (required by code)?

    1. Thank you for getting in touch with us. The bandsaw operates on 110V and is prewired for this voltage. A 20A breaker is required, but please note that the machine may not function properly with a GFCI outlet due to the high inrush current during startup. The GFCI's sensitive safety mechanism may trip. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician for alternative solutions while ensuring compliance with local electrical codes.
