How do the mat connectors perform on hard surfaces? I have historic tile floors that must be protected and want to confirm whether the connectors create point loads that could damage the tile. Also, will the mats mark or mar the floor?
1 answerOriginally posted on Justrite-
Per our Engineering Team, the mat connectors will scratch a hard tile floor and are not recommended for that application.

Does this mat bend or move when being driven over? Looking for a mat I can put over a grate for forklift traffic and don't wont it to bend or damage the grate below.
1 answerOriginally posted on Justrite-
Our Alturnamat Model# AM48 can support loads up to 120 tons on a solid surface. We would need more information regarding your application for the grating and what supports it has underneath/surrounding it to assist with this determination. Please feel free to reach out to us at custserv@justrite.com or call at 800-798-9250 to discuss further.

Hi can I enquire on the following: • What is the co-efficient of friction of the mat? • Is the material fire resistant? • Is the loading indicated in the specs static or point load? • If possible, how do clients usually handle drainage for their site
1 answerOriginally posted on Justrite-
Please see the responses regarding your questions on our ground protection alturnamat, model# AM24-
• What is the co-efficient of friction of the mat?
The generic Coefficient of friction for HDPE is 0.020 -.350
• Is the material fire resistant?
Being made of HDPE, they are not fire resistant
• Is the loading indicated in the specs static or point load?
Static load. However, it is important to the customer to understand several factors that could drastically impact the load capacity of our mats. I have attached our Weight Rating Factors document which should help to clarify.
• If possible, how do clients usually handle drainage for their site
Our ground protection mats aren’t designed for drainage but are designed for turf protection and temporary access.
