Buyers Products SaltDogg SHPE Electric Poly Hopper Spreader with Auger gives contractors and facility managers a low maintenance hopper spreader ready for residential or commercial use. Electric power means quieter operation with no need for refueling or engine servicing. The durable poly hopper features a patented double-wall construction. It fits vehicles from UTV's to full size pickup trucks and uses a bulk salt or a 50/50 salt/sand mix. The spreader features a 2-1/2in. stainless steel auger and trough and a 200 lb capacity vibrator to keep material flowing. The auger will automatically reverse if it gets jammed, helping to clear the clog and restore flow. It's powered by an independent 1/2 HP, 12V gear motor. A 14in. polymer spinner, powered by an independent 1/4 HP, 12V gear motor, can cast a 5-30ft. radius. The vibrator and auger/spinner speeds are controlled by a closed-loop, in-cab controller. The SHPE also comes outfitted with a top screen, tie downs, fitted tarp, and remote auger bearing grease kit.

    1. This will only fit a 8 foot bed. Please view spreader item 25575 for one that will fit a 6 foot bed,

  6. What are overall dimensions, and of the hopper itself?

    1. The overall dimensions of the spreader are 51" W x 56.6" H x 92" L. This does include the auger which extends lower than the unit. The hopper dimensions are 51" W x 38" H x 87.3" L.
