Product Summary

Rust-Oleum 9100 Epoxy is an all-purpose, versatile epoxy that's perfect for steel beams, rails and concrete floors. A high-solids, next-generation polyamine converted epoxy, it can be used with multiple activators (standard, immersion, low temperature or fast cure) at VOC <340 g/l or<250g/L chemical resistant. Mix ratio: 1:1. Meets U.S.A. requirements for incidental food contact. Standard activator for air and surface temperatures of 50-100° F. Immersion activator for fresh or salt water immersion of steel or concrete where water temperatures do not exceed 125 °F. Great for use in floor coating applications. Produces slightly lower gloss than standard activator. Not for use in potable water tanks. Low temperature activator for air and surface temperatures of 40–60° F. Fast cure activator to minimize downtime. Re-coat in 4 hours at 70°F and 50% RH for air and surface temperatures of 50–100° F. Produces slightly lower glass than standard activator.

  1. When you add 5gal 1:1 activator to the epoxy. How much area will the 10 gallons of the mixed product cover?

    1. After mixed with 1:1 activator, the 10 gallons would cover approximately 1500-2250 square feet.

    1. This is not 100% epoxy, it would be 78-81% epoxy.

    1. A top coat is required when adding flake. This is not sold through Northern Tool and Equipment.

    1. Both the base and activator components are highly pigmented. Mix each component thoroughly to ensure any settled pigment is re-dispersed before combining the components together. Combine at a 1:1 ratio by volume in a container large enough to hold the total volume. Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes. Power mixing is preferred. Do not mix more material than you plan to use within the listed pot life. Use the Standard Activator or Fast Cure Activator at air temperatures between 50-120°F (10-49°C) and when the surface temperature is at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point and less than 120ºF (49ºC).

  5. Can colored flakes be added to surface. Can traction grit be added to wet surface to make no slip.

    1. Colored flakes can be added to the surface and you can add anti-traction skid traction to the epoxy.
