The points do not have to be pounded into the log for dragging. They are angled to penetrate the log and hold it.

Lifting ring inside diameter?
Will a standard 3/8" chain with grab hooks fit through the lifting ring? Can a grab hook be used on the ring itself?
1 answer-
RoughneckExpert31· 7 years ago
The inside diameter of the ring is 2 3/8". Provided the chain is less than 2 3/8" wide it would go through the center of the ring. A grab hook can be used as long as it fits in the center of the ring. It would be recommended to us a locking grab hook to prevent it from falling off the hook.
