    3. yes, quick and easy with simple hand tools, I carry an adjustable wrench and Channel Locks in my chain saw box. I toss the nut and bolt in my chain saw box and also carry a spare in case it is dropped in the brush. I painted mine high vis orange in the event I drop it, easily found.

    4. I'm not sure the manufacturer would endorse it being used that way, but the a-frame comes detached from the bar as does the upper arm. The tooth on the end of the bar is not attached to the a-frame so I believe it would work this way.

  2. will it work on trees as small as 6 inches diameter ?

    1. Probably not if you want the claw to grab it.

    4. Good question - I just tried it on a oblong Oak 18" long "cord word" - 5"x6" on one end and 6"x7" on the other. The small end of the log caught between the end of the pole and the inside spike of the hook. By no means was this a yes unless that is the average one wants to lift. The pole spike and the inside spike of the hook did grab the larger end which would constitute a yes under test conditions. All of this said, I would recommend the single spike/single hook for leverage for a 6" log.

    1. It is clearly marked on the box - Distributed by Northern Tool - Made in China. I did not keep any paperwork other than the Packing Slip issued upon shipment.
