Used primarily to remove roll pin punches. The center of the tip of the punch has a rounded center section that fits inside the hole created by the roll pin. This helps prevent damaging the roll pin and easy removal of the pin. The octagonal shape is easier to grip when striking with a hammer and also prevents the tool from rolling away when placed on a surface. The tip is ground and polished. The material core design prevents mushrooming of the striking head. Tools are tempered to a hardness of 54 to 58 HRC - not just at the tip but throughout the entire length of the tool. Forged from top quality hardened chrome vanadium steel. Compiles with DIN 7255 standard.
