The Remington® Maverick™ Gas Pole Saw features a 7-foot extension pole with removable 26-inch section that offers the freedom to work at different lengths for different tasks. QuickStart™ technology and a powerful 25cc 2-cycle gas engine let you cut through tough limbs fast. The RM2599 comes with a low-kickback 8-inch bar and chain that's perfect for small to medium-size branches. When you're done with those branches, you can turn your cutting machine into a powerful leaf blower, garden cultivator, string trimmer and brush cutter, and more with a range of handy interchangeable attachments (each sold separately). 2-year limited warranty.

    1. yes, automatic, keep oil in tank.

    2. Yes! The saw has an adjustable automatic drip oiler located on the cutting head. My saw came with a small container of prescribed bar oil. I cut for about an 15 minutes of actual running and still had oil remaining and the saw seemed well lubricated.

    I see no likage between the engine and saw. How is it powered?

    1. shaft that runs inside of tube.

    Can the chain be easily sharpened? I sharpen my chainsaw chain and have been for years using the proper sized round file and guide..

    1. No, only 1 additional pole segment.

  9. If the bar is 8 in why is the cutting thickness only 4 in?

    1. It isn't, physically it will cut larger wood but you may also overtax and burn the motor up in doing so. Cut slow enough so the motor keeps it's rpm's up and you are not overloading the motor. Ber

    2. The Remington Pole Saw is rated at 4 inch cutting thickness because the engine would struggle to cut thicker branches from a power standpoint.
