  1. Are there compression fittings for the ends??

    1. It isn't a compression fitting. It is a push and lock. So, it does compress but not like the brass compression fittings that actually crush the center piece to get the seal. You can go from the flexible line to copper using the fittings that come with the kit. If you are buying online because you don't live near a Northern Tool store, I recommend buying several extra fittings.

    2. None are included. End of hose and connection at hub are threaded. You'll need to figure out what size lead hose and accessories you're connecting to to figure out what fittings you need. A little like a plumbing project!

  2. Inside and outside diameters?

    Can anyone tell me the precise inside and outside diameters? Or at least inside, I assume 1/2" is nominal, not actual? Also is this tubing as stiff as PEX? Or more flexible? I assume it's not as flexible as typical PVC air hose?? Thanks!!

    1. 3/8" internal diameter. 1/2" external diameter Fairly sfiff. Probably can be used with PEX if dimensions coincide

    2. The outside diameter for the tubing is 1/2" and the inside diameter of the tubing is 3/8". The item is as flexible as pvc air hose.

  3. Can this flex tubing be mounted on the outside of a building exposed to sun?

    1. The hose would not be recommended to be installed outdoors.

  5. Can you use pex fittings for this air line.

    1. The manufacturer does not recommend using another fitting than a Rapid Air fitting as they have been tested for the air line.
