    1. The starting wind speed would need to reach 8 mph / 3.6 m/s.

  3. Is it easy to wire for use as addon?

    1. Yes, it can be added into an existing battery charging system. This would be connected with a positive/negative wire to the battery with either a stop switch and circuit breaker prior or a Wind Control Panel kit. For the kit, it is best to contact the manufacturer directly.

  4. You state 38kwh/month. Is that 38kwh/30days = 1.27kwh/day = 53wh or about enough to run three LED 60w lightbulbs that take 18w each?

    1. That would be the range, depending on the wind resource you are pulling the 38kwh from. The manufacturer actually measures it at 30 kwh/mo/30 days at a 12 MPH wind on average.

  5. Why is wattage output different from other wind generators?

    Why does the Primus Wind Power Air Silent X Wind Generator — 12 Volts, Model# 1-ARSM-15-12 show a 400 watt output when all the other Primus 12v wind generators comparisons show 160 watts. All other measures appear to be equal.

    1. The AIR Silent X is a combination of the high end Silent Wind carbon fiber blades with the renowned Air Breeze wind turbine body. The addition of the carbon fiber blades reduces the noise output of the turbine while also increasing the power output.

  6. Will this turbine support a whole house. furnace appliances, ect.

    1. This will produce 38 kWh/month @ 12 mph consistent wind speed. This would not be enough power to support an entire house.
