Product Summary

The new Powermatic 2014B lathe is engineered for woodturners who demand professional- level performance in a compact, versatile machine. Built to meet Powermatic’s Gold Standard the 2014B delivers precious, stability and control in a footprint ideal for home shops and smaller professional environments. Powered by a 1 HP inverter-driven motor, this lathe delivers smooth 230V three-phase performance while operating from a standard 115V single-phase power source. With a 14in. swing over the bed and 20in. between centers, the 2014B is well-equipped to bowls, spindles and a wide range of turning projects. The sliding headstock allows the operator to reposition the spindle at the end of the bed for improved access during outboard turning. The heavy cast iron bed minimizes vibration and provides stability when working with larger or unbalanced stock. A redesigned magnetic backed control box is engineered to stay securely attached to the lathe during use and provides a clear digital spindle speed readout and indexing display for precise control. Variable-speed operation allows smooth adjustments to match material size and turning requirements. A newly redesigned stand provides easier assembly and offers an adjustable centerline height from 34 to 46in., accommodating a wide range of users while promoting comfort during extended turning sessions. The 2014B lathe also features an upgraded hardened steel tipped tool rest providing superior durability and smoother tool movement. Built to live up to Powermatic Gold Standard the 2014B lathe is a reliable solution for precision woodturning in a wide range of shop settings.
