  1. How loud is this? I don't know how loud a dB is.

    I understand it varies the engine speed with the load so how loud is it for low loads and for higher loads? Those dB ratings don't do a whole lot for me.

    1. I put mine on the side of the garage for a test run. I could barely hear a hum in the garage and need to step to the outside to hear it. You can easily talk over it. You won't be disappointed for what you pay for this thing. Its compact size is awesome.

    2. Less sound then I've ever heard from a small generator! No one will throw rocks at you in the campground!

    3. The generator is rated a 55dB on the low end and 64dB on the high end, which is relatively quiet. You could carry on a normal conversation with it running.

  2. what kind of 4-stroke oil can be used in this generator

    1. No particular brand, just an oil that is rated
      for the appropriate viscosity

    2. The manual says to use 15w-40, or 0w-40 if in cold weather. I put 0w-40 in mine since I anticipated using it during snowstorms.

  4. Could this run a TV and game console?

    Say I wanted to have an outdoor game setup, would this generator sufficiently power a medium-size flatscreen tv and a modern-ish game console (ps3/n64)?

    1. As long as your TV and game console do not exceed 500 Surge watts or 450 running watts you will be fine. Watts are calculated by taking Amps x Volts for each appliance. Surge watts or start up watts are figured by taking watts x 2.5.
