This Powerhorse Earth Auger Powerhead is a high-performance auger powerhead that’s lightweight, easy to handle, and perfect for single-person operation. The dynamic 2-cycle, 52cc gas engine provides all the grit and power needed to drill holes for fence posts, road signs, decks, tree planting and more! This unit has the gross torque to handle big jobs, but is still manageable under a single operator. Its ergonomic handlebars with anti-vibration grips keep the operator comfortable for the entire job. The powerful engine produces 55 ft./lbs. of torque and 280 RPM to efficiently dig holes in a variety of soil types. The powerhead is designed to fit a 3/4in. shaft size and features a maximum drilling capacity of 10in. dia. Meets current EPA emission standards. Powerhead only, auger bits sold separately.

  1. How do you add oil to the crank case 

    1. On the side where the auger is inserted, there is a set screw located on the left. Remove that set screw to add grease to the unit. It is recommended to add 60-100 g of grease after every 30-40 hours of use.

    2. Looking at the portion where the auger is inserted, on the left side of this will be a set screw. Once you remove the set screw, you can add grease to the unit. After every 30-40 hours of use add 60-100 g of grease.
