I use it with a Troy Built 2800 psi power washer and it worked fair to good. It feeds sand by the suction created by the water passing by the nozzle of the sand feed tube. So lower pressure would mean less suction to pick up sand. At 2800 psi it chugged the sand. not really a continuous flow of sand. Using very fine sand may help.

will this kit work with soda instead of sand?
-
billy03833· 9 years ago
I think the soda would just clog in the line. the sand had to be cleared a few times as the water does get in the feed line a bit

What matters more psi or gpm?
Instruction say 3500 psi max and 3 min gpm but most pressure washers at that size only offer 2.5 to 2.8 gpm.
-
PowerhorseExpert6· 3 years ago
This product requires a minimum of 2,5000 PSI, and a minimum flow of 3 GPM to run correctly. It has a maximum of 3500 PSI and 8 GPM rating. See our item #157123, 1574402 and 1574404 that would fall within the range to operate it effectively.

Can you please send me directions, mine came with absolutely nothing. Or tell me where I can go to download them

Connect the 1/4" quick-connect fitting to the pressure washer gun or wand.
Insert the stainless steel pickup tube into dry silica sand, dry river sand, or baking soda. Ensure the media is completely dry, as moisture can cause the hose to clog.
Turn on the pressure washer and pull the trigger. The water/media mixture will discharge from the nozzle. Keep the hose connection above the nozzle. If the hose connection is below the nozzle, water can enter the hose and wet the media, preventing it from being drawn into the nozzle.
Dry the cleaned surface as soon as possible after blasting to help prevent flash rust from forming.
