High Altitude Operation

CAUTION: Operating at an altitude of greater than 2000 feet (610 meters) may affect your engine's performance, fuel consumption, and emissions. To remain emissions compliant and improve engine performance at higher altitudes, a high-altitude kit is required. A high altitude kit includes a carburetor jet resized to help correct air / fuel mixture at altitude. To order a high altitude kit, or if you have additional questions, contact us at 1-866-442-2576. Please note, engines with the high-altitude kit installed operated at lower altitudes could cause severe engine damage and affect emissions compliance. When modified, a tag or decal should be added to the product stating that a high-altitude kit was installed and to remind you to re-service the carburetor (re-jet) when operating in lower altitude environments.

  2. What oil and how much does this engine require

    1. It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 engine oil. Do not use engine oil with additives or 2-stroke gasoline oil. The oil capacity is 0.63 quarts.

  3. Can this pump be used with a sand point

    1. This semi-trash pump can handle a certain amount of trash and small amounts of sand sucked in with the water, but it will wear the pump out faster. Wear is not covered under warranty.

    1. The water pump could be used for fire fighting purposes for brush fires. It would put out 131 GPM and has a maximum rating of 46 PSI

  5. What is the Max Viscosity that this pump can move product?

    1. This semi-trash pump is designed to pump water. It should not be used for pumping anything else. Doing so would void the warranty.

  7. Can the outlet be reduced to 3/4” garden hose for distance of 250 feet? Suction lift of 12’ to pump.

    1. This pump has a max total head of 98 feet. Any longer distance and the pump would not perform to it's potential due to flow rate and pressure loss. It is not recommended to reduce the output to 3/4" as too much backpressure could cause damage to the pump.

    1. This pump has a maximum total head of 98 ft. If the full suction lift of 23' is used, it can discharge up to 75' effectively.

  9. Can this pump wet sand/mud?

    1. If using in an area that will have sand mixed with water, a suction line strainer would be needed. Please view item 49618 for a pump hose kit that includes a strainer for the suction line.
