High Altitude Operation

CAUTION: Operating at an altitude of greater than 2000 feet (610 meters) may affect your engine's performance, fuel consumption, and emissions. To remain emissions compliant and improve engine performance at higher altitudes, a high-altitude kit is required. A high altitude kit includes a carburetor jet resized to help correct air / fuel mixture at altitude. To order a high altitude kit, or if you have additional questions, contact us at 1-866-442-2576. Please note, engines with the high-altitude kit installed operated at lower altitudes could cause severe engine damage and affect emissions compliance. When modified, a tag or decal should be added to the product stating that a high-altitude kit was installed and to remind you to re-service the carburetor (re-jet) when operating in lower altitude environments.

  2. can 1 inch rocks pass through pump without damage?

    1. This unit can handle soft solids up to 1-1/8" diameter. It may be able to pass a 1" diameter rock from time to time, but if rocks are continuously pumped through this, it could damage the pump.

  3. What accessories does this come with? Like does it come with a hose and a strainer?

    1. This pump does not included the accessories. Please see item 49619 for the two hoses and strainer package.

  4. Is this pump capable of pumping latex seal coat material?

    1. This water pump is not designed to pump latex seal coat.

  5. Will this handle partially decomposed leaves and lake muck?

    1. The pump can handle solids up to 1 1/8". It can pump some leaves, mud and silt as long as it is mostly water.

  6. Does this have a filter that must be replaced, or is it cleanable?

    1. The air filter on this pump's engine is cleanable. It should be cleaned every 3 months or every 50 hours of pump use. We recommend replacing the air filter every year or every 300 hours of pump use. The replacement air filter. item #795604 would be available through our sister company, Jacks Small Engines.
