  1. In the specs it says shipping weight is 100 lb and the product weight is 145.5 lb. How does it gain 45.5 lb after being shipped? Added oil and gas doesn't weight that much. What's the true weight of this machine?

    1. Ease of use will depend on the user as well as the terrain. The direct drive and 6.89" diameter wheels provide simple control and stable operation.

  4. The specs say the depth is from 0.2in.–0.6in. Is that for the dethatcher? Will the scarified go lower? Typically, a scarifier will go a little below the dirt to open the earth up a bit.

    1. The spring dethatcher has a depth range of -0.2" to 0.6". The scarifier has a depth range of -0.6" to 0.2".

  8. How exactly do you change out the blades, from scarifier to dethatcher. It looks like I am going to have to loosen the belt in the process!! Why no how to in the Owners Manual. I can't find a video anywhere, does anyone have a how to video switching them

    1. The scarifier is pre-assembled on the unit. The spring dethatcher is included as an accessory in the packaging.

      Tilt the unit forward to access the attachment. Do not tilt the unit on its side or backward, as this may cause engine oil to leak which leads to several other problems.

      Remove the belt cover by unscrewing the mounting bolts.

      Loosen the bolt securing the drive belt pulley to the spring dethatcher or scarifier, then remove the pulley from the shaft and drive belt.

      Remove the three bearing housing mounting bolts on the drive belt side, as well as the mounting bolts on the opposite side of the accessory.

      Carefully remove the accessory from the housing grooves, supporting the bearing housings and mounting plates at both ends.

      Install the alternate accessory by following these steps in reverse order.
