PBL1K: The PBL1K is an insulated gas cylinder heater specifically designed to fit a 1000-gallon horizontal gas cylinder tank. The heater is built for use with 120 volts AC, drawing 12 amps thus producing 1440 watts. If you have a home, cabin, or business fueled by propane, you know how frustrating and expensive it can be when your propane pressure decreases in cold weather. No one wants the burden of having to constantly fill a tank in order to run your house, cabin, or business. If you have the right tools, you can enjoy propane efficiency year-round and avoid the pain of frequent refills. Powerblanket Lite gas cylinder warmers offer residential heating for your propane needs and will help with efficiency when temperatures decrease. Propane tanks supply the best output when warm, whether it is the ambient temperature that is keeping your tank warm or an external heat source. Gas volume is determined by the number of molecule collisions occurring within the container, and these collisions increase as the temperature increases. Powerblanket Lite gas cylinder warmers afford you increased propane flow in mild weather conditions. In extreme cold, the Powerblanket energy will go towards heating the exterior of the tank in order to prevent as much heat loss as possible. What will this product do for me? In mild weather, 1440 Watts will allow an additional 27 lbs/hour of propane to flow. What about the insulation? In extreme cold, the heater energy will go towards heating the tank. To maximize the heater’s benefit in cold weather, additional insulation must be added to the tank to prevent heat loss. What size gas tank will it fit? Designed to fit on the belly of a horizontal 1000-gallon propane tank. Requires a minimum of 100” spacing between tank legs. Requires a 40” arc on the bottom of the tank to be smooth walled and free of protrusions.
