Product Summary

The Power Sentry LED Breakaway Switch is the trigger for your trailer's emergency brake system, and it lets you see at a glance that the system is ready. Designed for trailers equipped with electric brakes and a breakaway battery, this switch activates the trailer brakes in the event of an accidental uncoupling from the tow vehicle. Know Your System Is Ready. Most breakaway switches give you no indication of whether they'll actually work when needed. The Power Sentry switch features an LED circuit indicator that illuminates to confirm battery voltage is present at the brake circuit. A quick look tells you your breakaway system has power, adding confidence to your pre-trip safety check. Reliable Brake Activation, The pull-pin release completes the circuit to activate the trailer brakes on accidental uncoupling. If the trailer separates, the pin is pulled out of the switch, power flows to the brakes, and the trailer is brought to a stop. Sealed Housing Breakaway switches are mounted in exposed locations near the trailer tongue. The sealed enclosure protects internal contacts from moisture and dirt, helping ensure the switch is ready to perform when it counts.
