    1. The winch does not include a mounting plate. The mounting plate must be rated to at least the winch’s capacity. It must be flat and strong
      enough to remain flat at maximum winch capacity. The winch must sit flat on winch mount with no gaps under drum supports.

  2. what are the watts and amps needed to operate this winch its a pole star 12000

    1. The winch will require a 12 volt DC minimum 660 CCA battery. The amperage draw at 0 pound line pull is 80 amps, 3000 pounds is 160 amps, 6000 pounds is 230 amps, 9000 pounds is 280 amps and 12000 pounds is 360 amps. The wattage requirement is approximately 960 watts at 0 pound line pull, 3000 pounds is 1920 watts, 6000 pounds is 2760 watts, 9000 pounds is 3360 watts and 12000 pounds is 4320 watts.
