  2. which fan do you recommend to cool a 40'x 40' room? and is direct drive better t han belt driven?

    1. This fan puts out 11,200 CFM on high and could possibly cool up to 2600 square feet. There can be variables as to how the room is laid out, if there are items in the path of the fan, etc. There is not a whole lot of difference in direct drive and belt driven. The belt driven will give you less vibration and can give you longer motor life.
