  1. Will it definitely punch a hole in 2 mm sheet metal (mild steel)?

    There seems to be a slight discrepancy between your steel gauge sizing system and the metric system. Therefore, before I place the order, I would like to verify that when you say #14 gauge mild steel sheet it does mean that it will easily pierce upto 2mm mild steel sheet metal. Thanks.

    1. 2 mm is just a little larger than 14 gauge. It might be worth a try but if there is any spot in your 2mm sheet steel that is a little thicker, you may be taking a chance at tool damage or a bad punch hole that could cause the tool to get stuck in that spot.

    2. 14 gauge is about 1.9 mm thick so it would not work with 2 mm sheet metal.

  6. How do you adjust the depth of the flange for the different thickness of metals? ie: to match up with a 18 gauge thickness piece of metal vs a 20 g.

    1. The Northern Industrial Air Punch and Flange Tool is designed to be used with up to 14 gauge material. There are no other adjustments for use with an other gauge metal.
