    1. This will not work in a drop down fireplace. It is only designed for a standard masonry fireplace.

  6. Does this come with clamps to clamp to the top of the fireplace opening?

    1. The fireplace door will include 2 lintel clamps to attach to the fireplace opening. See the product manual online for installing the fireplace door.

  7. What are the measurements for the side and top flanges ?  I don’t want it to cover my tile on the face of my fireplace.

    1. The sides of the frame would be 3.75" and top of the frame would be 5".

  8. What good are these doors if they can't be closed during a fire?

    1. These glass doors include a screen. You can open the glass doors and the screen lets the heat into the room but not the ashes. This is how all glass doors and screens work for fireplaces. The glass keeps the ashes in the fireplace while not in use and provide great ambiance.

  9. Is the screen, "Standard Mesh Panels" a 2 door screen, 4 door screen or a sliding curtain?

    When bifod doors and screen are open, how far back, beyond the flush backside of the frame does the door extend?

    1. The screen is a two door screen, and the door extends to 37 inches beyond the frame.
