  1. How hard is this to install? My fireplace is 43x28

    1. Installation difficulty is moderate. It requires two people to level the frame, securing the top with lintel clamps and the bottom with pressure brackets. Drill masonry anchors as necessary. Please consult the manual for detailed installation instructions.

  2. Can these inserts with glass doors be used with gas logs?

    1. The glass doors are designed for use with masonry fireplaces only and are not compatible with prefabricated fireplaces.

    1. This style in not available in a bronze color. The item number 20621 is a bronze Fenwick style glass door.

  5. How big is the viewing area on these? I want to know the dimensions inside the trim.

    1. The width of the frame on both sides is 3.75" per side. The height of the frame below the viewing area is approximately 3.25”, and 5.25” if you include the 2-inch riser bar. The height of the frame above the viewing area is approximately 5.” The dimension of the viewing area would be 36" W x 24.75" H.

  6. My fireplace is short--dimensions are 36 1/2" x 19 1/4". Will one of your units fit?

    1. The fireplace glass doors fit opening heights of 25-1/2" to 32-1/2". A fireplace glass door that fits shorter opening height is not available.

  7. My fireplace opening width is actually 43-1/2". Would I be able to use some kind of filler to close the gap if this fireplace door ( AT-1002) only covers a maximum width of 43"?

    1. We would not recommend using a filler to close the space. This fireplace door is only designed to be used in a max width of 43in.

  8. what is the total height of this product without the 2" lift bar?

    1. The overall dimensions without the lift bar would be 43 1/2 in. W x 31 in. H.

  9. Do you measure the inside of the brick frame or can this go over the brick around the opening?

    1. The fireplace glass door is designed to be surface mounted flat against the fire place opening.

  10. My fireplace is 36 3/4 inches wide. What size doors should I get the medium or the large? Medium fits up to 37 inches but is that to close in size?

    1. The medium will fit a fireplace that is 30 to 37" wide. It fits a height of 25 1/'2 to 32 1/2". You want to check your height as well.
