  1. What is the installation time on this product?

    1. Took 2 of us about 12-hours. Includes removing bed, cleaning, mounting brackets, notching frame, welding, re-routing wiring properly, testing before final tightening of everything. Make sure to use grommets for all wire routing, prime & repaint any cut/bare metal, and use proper breakers. Angles and exact bracket positioning is critical for balance and making sure there is smooth operation and no binding. The only change we made was adding heavy duty bearings at the eyelets of the hydraulic cylinder

  2. Does this kit allow you to keep the stock rear bumper installed?

    1. fits the tailgate and bumpers of Chevy 90s 1/2,3/4, and 1 T, all of my trucks

    2. Dismount the bumper and remount the bumper to the hinges after the kit is installed.

  3. Can you utilize a goose neck ball after this is installed?

    1. A goose neck ball could not be installed in the truck bed once you have converted it to a dump truck.

    1. This kit includes a gas filler bracket for the fill line.

    1. The dump hoist kit would not work with an in bed hitch.

  6. is this powered by a hand held remote control?

    1. The kit comes includes 15 feet of wire with a toggle switch that can be run to the cab or any location convenient for the operator. A wired remote, part 38901155 may also be purchased directly from the manufacturer.

  7. Not familiar with "gravity down". How smoothly/quickly does the bed come back down to the frame after dumping a load?

    1. This truck dump hoist is power in (up) and gravity down. Return after dumping a load is very smooth and quick but the exact time for the bed to lower back into normal position will vary slightly depending on the weight of the truck bed the unit is installed on, so there is not an exact lowering time.

  8. Can you operate the hoist to dump a load while in gear and moving?

    1. The manufacturer does not recommend the truck be driven or moving while the bed is in the lift position or while in the process of being raised to the lift position.
