  1. Each 4x8 dock has two floats.  Just want to confirm the 4x8 will hold up to 800 lbs.  (400 per float). Thanks

    1. This platform has a buoyancy rating up to 800 lbs. with the included two floats. That means it will hold up to 800 lbs. evenly distributed before sinking. An additional float, item 5112141, can be added for an additional 400 lbs. of buoyancy.

  2. Can you moor a boat to the dock once it's secured?

    1. You may tie the boat to the floating dock once the dock is properly secured. Make sure that the boat is secured. The dock will rise and fall along with the boat. No extra slack is generally needed.

  3. if necessary can I get another float and put in the middle section of this dock?

    1. An additional float, item 5112141, can be added to increase the buoyancy of the dock.

  4. Specifications say 16” height. When in the water and no load, how high out of water would the deck top be?

    1. The dock frame and decking would sit approximately 4.5 inches above the water.

  5. Can a ladder and an anchor be attached to this so it can be used as a free-floating swim raft?

    1. These dock floats are not designed to be used in that application. The manufacturer would not recommend this.

  6. what is the total weight of the 96/48 dock. Shipping info indicates 175lb's but the brochure say's 45lb. Which one is correct

    1. The total weight of the 96" x 48" section is 246 pounds according to the manufacturer.

  8. as far as the floats underneath. How are they secured to the frame or do they just snap in underneath . This would then look like a three piece set up or are the floats screwed or bolted to the framing. How can I get the installatio chart to see how hard

    1. The dock floats are installed to the frame using the included J bolts, washers and nuts. Installation instructions are included with the dock system. The instructions can also be downloaded from the manufacture's web site.

  9. Are the aluminum side panels strong enough to hold dock chain  to a pylon?

    1. This can vary per application. It is the installer's responsibility to make sure the entire dock system is safely secured.

  10. Is there a way to tie 3 of these platforms together to make a 24 foot dock? If so, does extra hardware need to be purchased?

    1. Multiple platforms can be connected together. A dock hinge is recommended when connecting multiple floating platforms together so they are able to articulate independently. Please contact the manufacturer directly for price and availability.
