    1. There are different options to secure the dock depending on the depth of the water. There is the option of the sleeve and piling. This method of anchoring uses 1.5" ID schedule 40 galvanized pipe. This is used with water depths less than 4 feet. There is also the chain and dead man weights. It is recommended to use 5/16" galvanized chain and shackles. The chain should be double the length of the depth of the water. The floating dock will require between 500-1500 anchor weight depending on the dock size and water condition. A weight should be installed at least every 32 feet of dock length. This will be used in deeper water .
