To change the cable, pass the crimped end of the cable over the sheave pocket. Then, insert the crimped end of the cable through the oblong hole in the winch flange and behind the mooring tab. Next, pull the slack out of the cable to seat the crimped end securely behind the mooring tab. Finally, rotate the winch handle clockwise to take up the slack in the cable around the winch drum.
