Product Summary

Take your chainsaw's chain from dull to sharp in as little as 3 seconds with the portable Oregon PowerSharp system. This lightweight bar-mount sharpener is small enough for arborists and farmers to take out in the field and sharpen on the job and gives homeowners the confidence to keep their chains in top condition. The PowerSharp system consists of a chain, a bar and a bar-mount sharpener. When the chain gets dulled, sharpening is as easy as putting the sharpener on the blade and pressing the tip of the sharpener into a solid surface for a few seconds, bringing the unique top-cutting cutters into contact with the sharpening stone. This sharpens the chain and resurfaces the stone, thanks to a diamond-coated dresser link. There's no better way to do your heavy limbing, storm cleanup or trimming jobs than with a sharp chain, and there's no better way to get a sharp chain than with PowerSharp.

    1. This bar mount chain sharpening kit would not work for the Stihl 18" chainsaw. Northern Tool does not carry one for the 18" Stihl chainsaw.

  8. Will this work on a Husqvarna Model 340?

    Several older reviews mentioned the Oregon PowerSharp Bar did not fit Husqvarna 18" saws-mainly the chain tensioner screw hole on the Oregon bar wasn't lining up with the tensioner on the saw body. Has this been corrected and will this sharpening kit fit a Husqvarna 18" Model 340?

    1. The Oregon Chain Sharpening Kit is not designed to work with the Husqvarna 340 as this kit will only work with a low profile 3/8" chain.

  9. Will this work on original chains? I have a Echo CS-400 w/18" chain.

    1. This Powersharp kit will not work on the original chain. The powersharp chain has the cutting tooth edge on the outside edge of the chain.

  10. does this come in a 12" for a dime tip?

    need something like this for a 1/4 pitch dime tip bar and chain that is 12" 14" or 16"

    1. Northern Tool does not carry an Oregon PowerSharp kit for chainsaws with a 12" bar or with 1/4" pitch chain.
