Thanks for reaching out. The M1099 can be used with up to an 8" chuck, such as G9836; you would just have to machine a backplate to fit on the spindle threads of the lathe and then machine it to fit the back of the chuck.

Grizzly Customer Service· a year ago
Thanks for reaching out. We do not have a stand specifically recommended for this model. The stand you choose needs to accommodate a footprint of 53 1/2 inches x 12 1/2 inches and at least 330 pounds, plus the maximum weight you expect your workpieces to be.

Does this lathe feed for threading in both directions? Towards the chuck and away for interior threading?
1 answerOriginally posted on grizzly.com-
Customer Service· 2 years ago
We appreciate your inquiry. The M1099 Lathe is capable of forward and reverse feeding, although it cannot perform LH threading due to both the feed and spindle running in the same direction.

Can you add dro to this lathe
1 answerOriginally posted on grizzly.com-
Customer Service· 2 years ago
Thank you for getting in touch with us. The lathe lacks the clearance necessary for a glass scale DRO. However, you can mount the T26539 Digital Readout 6" or the T26542 Digital Readout 32" on this lathe. These options are magnetic and can be customized to the appropriate length before mounting.
