  1. Is this mat designed for outdoor use (e.g. dog run in muddy yard)? Does it have spikes that would grab into the dirt underneath it?

    1. This mat will work best on a hard solid surface. It would have a textured surface on the bottom side, however this texture is not intended as a grip on a muddy surface. Use outdoor will lead to an earlier breakdown of the mat material from exposure to the elements resulting in a reduced product life.
