  1. What adapter do I need to hook up a garden hose. I tried connecting one and the threads seemed different

    1. The tank has a 3/4 inch bulkhead fitting. You would need a 3/4 inch male NPT (national pipe thread) to a 3/4 inch garden hose thread (GHT) adapter for it. The NPT end would screw into the bulkhead fitting and the 3/4 inch GHT would connect to the garden hose. Northern Tool does not carry this fitting.

  2. Can you get just a spin on replacement cap for this tank 6118755

    1. The replacement vented tank lid model 63484 can be purchased through the manufacturer directly.

  3. Where can you get the holdown straps

    1. You would use ratchet straps to hold down the tank. The grooves for the straps are 2" wide. The length of the ratchet strap would depend on what you are strapping the tank to. See item #5686152 for a ratchet strap that is 2" wide and 27' long.

  4. Will this handle water freezing and thawing without cracking?

    1. This tank may crack if water is frozen inside.

    1. The storage tank can be used for diesel. It cannot be used for gasoline.
