    1. The specific gravity of the tank is 1.0. The tank is designed for water use only. The tank is rotationally molded and the thickness of the tank can vary. There is not an option to provide an exact thickness measurement.

    1. Northern Tool does not offer a shut-off valve for this storage tank. It is recommended to use a 2-inch full-port bolted valve with male threads.

  9. How do you know how much water is in it

    1. To check the water level, remove the lid and visually inspect the water level. For more precise measurements, a stick gauge, a float gauge, a sidewall gauge, or an electronic smart gauge can be installed. The gauge would be sold separately.

  10. What is the minimum temperature? I am thinking about winter, would I need to empty the tank? Also, would you recommend setting it directly on the ground or use a stand for clearance?

The Norwesco 1550-gallon tank itself has no minimum temperature rating, you must empty it for the winter in freezing climates to prevent the water from expanding and damaging the tank fittings. You should set the tank directly on the ground, provided the ground is properly prepared to be flat and smooth.
