The NorTrac® 16 GPM Cast Iron Two-Stage Hydraulic Pump is a CBNA gear pump that consists of a big displacement, low-pressure pump combined with a small displacement, high-pressure pump. Ideal for log splitters, presses, machine tools, trash or refuse compaction and BAL RV products. Clockwise rotation.

    1. The shaft of this pump has a 0.125" keyway.

  2. What Size motor would you need to run this pump? Would a 5 HP electric 240V motor work?

    1. Many different variables can change the size motor needed for this item. For example, to operate at 2500 PSI, a motor capable of 6 hp (peak) is needed. At 2000 PSI, a motor capable of 5 hp (peak) is needed. The item is designed to run at 115 or 230 volt.

  3. What oil viscosity should be used with this pump? There is a lot of technical data missing in the description.

    1. Between 15 to 68 Centistokes viscosity oil should be used. N46 hydraulic oil is suitable.

  4. I don't see the recommended RPM these should be operating at. My motor I want to couple with this pump is rated at 3,450 rpm.

    1. This pump will run at 3600 RPM at a maximum 3000 PSI.
