    1. Both ports are SAE O-Ring Boss (ORB) fittings, size 3/4-16 UNF.

  4. Is this a ball bearing supported shaft pump? Is it okay to turn this pump with pulleys and a belt? Thanks

    1. The pump does not have ball bearing support. This can be belt driven as long as a pillow block for support is installed.

  5. can this be used as a hydraulic motor to power a chainsaw

    1. The hydraulic motor is not designed to be used to power a chainsaw. It is not able to withstand a side load on the shaft.

  6. Can this pump/motor rotate in either direction while in service without any modification or adjustments?

    I am interested in an application where oil is pumped in one direction and then pumped in the opposite direction by reversing the shaft rotation with a reversible electric motor.

  7. what torque at 300 rpm?

    1. The formula to determine the torque output on this pump/motor is: displacement (in cubic-inches/shaft revolutions) x pressure(psi)/ divided by 6.28. This pump/motor's displacement is .132 cubic-inches per revolution. A pressure gauge will need to be installed on the hydraulic line to measure the pressure in PSI. Take the measured pressure in PSI x .132 then divide by 6.28 = Torque output in units of inch-pounds or in-lbs.

      For example, continuous torque for this pump/motor at 3000 psi torque would be:
      T (torque) = .132 (displacement) x 3000 (psi)/ 6.28= 63.06 inch-lbs of Torque with a max continuous pressure rating of 3000 PSI.

      For example, max intermittent torque output at a max pressure of 4000 PSI would calculate like this:
      T= .132 x 4000/ 6.28 =84 inch-lbs of Torque and then intermittent would be about 10% duty cycle so 6 minutes on and 54 minutes off.
