Product Summary

This NorthStar® Soft Wash Kit includes essential NorthStar components for creating your own high-quality soft wash system -- get a safer, easier, more effective way to remove black mold, mildew, moss and dirt from roofs, siding, decks, fences and more. Simply add your own chemical tank and a 12 Volt battery to attach to your trailer or skid. The NorthStar Soft Wash Kit delivers high-performance, low-impact cleaning with no scrubbing or high pressure required. This patent-pending system uses water, NorthStar Max Cling soft wash surfactant (Item#s 81297 and 81298, sold separately) and common household bleach to create the ultimate cleaning solution. Plus, it features exclusive patent pending Motor Armor technology to automatically shut the pump off if a leak is detected, protecting the motor from damage and allowing a quick, low-cost pump cartridge replacement (one replacement cartridge included). With the included 25°, 40° and 60° fan tip and long-throw nozzles, you can cover large areas, high peaks, roofs and soffits up to 30ft.H safely without using a ladder. Add the telescoping extension wand, Item# 81140 (sold separately) for extending your reach up to 54ft.H. Kit requires chemical tank, 12 Volt battery and trailer or skid (none included).

  1. What tank is recommended for this set-up if you are using bleach through it?

    1. Our 16 gallon sprayer tank, item 2690 or the 26 gallon sprayer tank, item 2691 can be used with this soft wash kit. These tanks can be used with a 10% chlorine solution.

  3. What hose reel would you suggest with this unit

    1. Hose reels such as item #55792 and #55793 will have the capacity to handle the length of hose in this kit.

  4. I notice the manual says it cannot be used on painted wood siding. Is there another way to use it on wood siding by using different chemicals?

    1. This is not recommended to be used on wood. It is only intended for use on hard, non-porous surfaces.

  5. How many feet upwards can I spray the soft wash chemicals

    1. With the included nozzles, you can reach up to 30' high safely without using a ladder. Add the telescoping extension wand, Item #81140 (sold separately) for extending your reach up to 54' high.
