NorthStar's Self-Priming Semi-Trash Water Pump has a quiet and dependable 270cc Honda GX270 engine and silicon carbide mechanical seals that resist corrosion, wear and heat better than a standard seal. The long-lasting high-end silicon carbide seals are specially suited for heavy-duty applications such as pumping contaminated and abrasive fluids. FCD45 cast iron impeller and volute reduce vibration and wear on the mechanical seal and engine, allowing them to last longer for semi-trash operations.

    1. The longest I have run the unit is about 4 hours. Still had fuel.

    2. The run time on the semi-trash pump is approximately 2 hours. We are unable to provide an extended run fuel system in the 4" port pump.

  4. what is the shaft size of motor or the series

    1. The Honda engine, model GX270UT2XQAG2, features a 3.48" long shaft with a 1" diameter and a 0.25" keyway. For a replacement engine, please see item #44373.

    1. We do not recommend reducing the inlet or outlet ports. This will create back pressure which can damage the pump itself.

  6. I am looking to dredge small pebbles. And rocks out of my Creek bed. To make it deeper, will this pump work?

    1. This pump has a capacity for solids up to 3/4" in diameter. Anything larger could clog and/or damage the pump.

    1. This NorthStar water pump does not include suction or discharge hoses. We offer a hose kit, item 49620 which can be used with it.

    1. At this time, this water pump is not designed with electric start and a kit is not available to upgrade it.
      Currently, we do not offer an equivalent pump with electric start.

    1. The inlet check valve is included and build into the inlet port.
